A 1971 Ann Arbor, Michigan concert poster featuring John Lennon and Yoko Ono, that being a terrifically rare billing in itself. This was an important counterculture political event to free activist John Sinclair from prison after a small pot bust, and a huge array of political activists turned out, along with ex-Beatle Lennon and even Stevie Wonder, who stole the show but is not mentioned on the poster. A classic in-the-authorities’-face design by poster artist Gary Grimshaw. Enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com).
