One of the earliest posters in Bill Graham’s coveted numbered concert poster series, this May 1966 Velvet Underground (with Lou Reed) concert poster is known to collectors as BG-8. It had to be one of the weirdest weekends in the history of the Fillmore, given the type of music that Warhol’s troupe and Zappa’s band were making. Here is a first printing of the poster in mint condition, signed by the poster artist, Wes Wilson. Enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com).
