An early, classic Bill Graham psychedelic concert poster from the spring of 1966, just when things were starting to get going. Poster artist Wes Wilson designed this seminal Fillmore Auditorium concert poster using entirely lettering, and its simplicity appeals to many fans of the genre. The Jefferson Airplane take Friday night and Quicksilver Messenger Service headlines Saturday night in an interesting, quaint split billing. Both the white-paper version and the coral paper version are shown and enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com).
