A beautifully designed jazz concert poster from 1953 featuring co-headliners Louis Armstrong and Benny Goodman. Great artistic sketches of the two legends, bright red, yellow & blue colors, and lots of named support musicians (Gene Krupa, anyone?) make this a stellar-looking boxing-style window card that served Buffalo and Rochester well, plus possibly other cities on the duo’s ill-fated tour. And then we treat you to a 1959 Dizzy Gillespie concert poster from Des Moines, IA. Both enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com).
