One month before “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan” was released, Dylan performed the first major concert of his career. The date was April 12, 1963 and the location was New York City’s historic Town Hall. It didn’t sell out, but the 900 or so who did show up garnered bragging rights for the rest of their lives. Here we have the beautiful handbill that was used to sell tickets for the show, and the simple but elegant four-page concert program as well. Both are enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com). And if you have a stolen moment, go catch some other vintage sixties Dylan concert posters I show on this page here of my web site: http://www.postercentral.com/bobdylan.htm
