Here’s one I’ll bet you haven’t seen before… a March 1964 in-store point-of-purchase display advertising sign for The Beatles’ four-song EP on Vee Jay Records. Made of thick cardboard and much larger in size than the EP’s actual picture sleeve, this poster carries the famous Volpe portraits of each Fab’s faces that VJ used so prolifically. It also makes sure you know that it’s a “record” that is being sold, which the EP’s sleeve didn’t need to explain.  A great, fun little item from the peak of Beatlemania, from the same month when the boys enjoyed holding the top five positions on Billboard magazine’s singles chart.
