   Pete: The Kasuals were indeed the house band on several of the stops of Dick Clark’s Caravan in 1964 and 1965… They were based in Chicago…members included trumpeter and leader Jimmy Franz(Ford), guitarist Mike Sistak, guitarist Wayne Erwin and drummer Dwight Kalb… They next changed their name to Jimmy Ford and The Executives and members like Jimmy Guercio (bass guitar), Danny Seraphine(drums) and Walt Parazaider(saxophone) and Terry Kath (guitar) played with them for a short while..Those later members went on to be a part of The Big Thing,CTA & Chicago… Mike Sistak, Jimmy Ford and Dwight Kalb were original members of The MOB… all Chicago iconic musicians..they respected Dick Clark’s efforts immensely and still remember him fondly…
