1930s Big Band Jazz Concert Posters – Cab Calloway, Earl Hines

Here were take a look at three late-1930s cardboard advertising window cards made to sell tickets for Cab Calloway, Earl “Fatha” Hines and Jimmie Lunceford in concert, along with their respective big bands. Now approaching 75 years old, these authentic concert posters from the start of World War II have aged beautifully and evoke an era when swing music and big bands ruled the land. Interestingly, African-American musicians on these old posters are much more collectible than white musicians, and here we have three great examples. Enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com).
