A scarce, oversized, high-quality litho from 1966 depicting Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley’s famous FD-27 concert poster in all of its bright red & green glory.
This art print was definitely done before the scheduled concerts, although the shows were ultimately canceled. Which is a shame, because they would have featured two real legends: Howlin’ Wolf and Janis Joplin sharing the same stage.
This Howlin’ Wolf concert poster is enthusiastically displayed, in a high-quality frame, by long-time collector and music historian Peter J. Howard. Since that’s me, I can be reached via pete@postercentral.com or by calling up (805) 540-0020. And please remember that I pay TOP DOLLAR IN THE HOBBY, period, for rare, cool and collectible concert-related memorabilia from the 1960s on back.
