    Fascinating, as usual!

I find it interesting that he’s wearing the Buddy Holly horn-rimmed glasses. Buddy Holly was dead less than a year and I wonder/suspect that wearing the horn-rimmed glasses was influenced by Buddy. Wasn’t Roy from Lubbock as well?

The Buddy connection got more eerie with the venue being in Fargo!

Didn’t know “Candyman” and “Blue Bayou” were just b-sides!

  2. Actually, at the time of the concert poster where Roy is wearing Buddy Holly horn-rimmed glasses, Buddy had been deceased for five & a half years, not just one year. It’s the two earlier posters (with no photo of Roy) that fell in 1960. But thanks for all your insightful comments!
