B.B. King, Sam Cooke, Jimmy Reed and Etta James are all represented here on their own cardboard boxing-style concert posters from the Pacific Ballroom in San Diego, CA. The years span 1960-62 and all four are scarce, original telephone-pole window cards, and each has its own unique, colorful design. The B.B. King poster even features R&R Hall of Famer Big Joe Turner as the opening act. Grateful Dead Janis Joplin “Angry Arts” Concert Poster 1967 S.F.

This poster is known as “The Week of the Angry Arts,” and actually says on the poster, “Spring Mobilization to End the War in Vietnam.” It was the spring of 1967, “Make Love Not War” was the mantra, and the Bay Area’s best came out for this protest show: Big Brother & the Holding Company with Janis Joplin, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Country Joe & the Fish, Sopwith Camel, and as a last-minute added attraction, the Grateful Dead. Beach Boys Concert Posters – 1962-1963 Window Cards From L.A.

Two very early Beach Boys concert posters from Southern California, one from before they were known and the other from after they had achieved their first Top 10 hit (“Surfin’ USA”). In both cases the Beach Boys weren’t big enough to carry or headline the concert, so they’re joined by many other acts on the posters, such as up-and-comer Marvin Gaye! Bob Dylan 1966 Ticket Stub – Manchester U.K. “Judas” Concert

A historic Bob Dylan ticket stub if ever there was one, for his 1966 tour stop in Manchester, England. This was the night when an audience member famously yelled “Judas!”, essentially calling Dylan a traitor for transitioning from folk music to rock ‘n’ roll. The moment has been well-documented in magazines, books and film, and is truly a landmark in Dylan’s career.
