Jefferson Airplane Grateful Dead Concert Poster ’60s Fillmore BG-23

I call this the quintessential Bill Graham / Fillmore Auditorium concert poster… the Jefferson Airplane and Grateful Dead together, for two dates in the summer of 1966, with a classic poster design by Wes Wilson. This was the first Bill Graham psychedelic concert poster to used photographs of the musicians, and Wilson’s rolling, psychedelic lettering remains timeless. Enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com). If you love the psychedelic poster scene, be sure to view more old psych posters shown on this page right here on my web site: http://www.postercentral.com/psychedelic.htm

Fats Domino Concert Poster – Early ’50s w/ Professor Longhair

A wonderfully early Fats Domino boxing-style concert poster from 1952, just a couple of years into The Fat Man’s career and before he had logged his first #1 R&B hit. Only Elvis Presley sold more records than Fats in the 1950s, and here his career is just getting underway, with the words “Something New” proclaimed in the ticket information at the top. Plus the chilling segregation words “White Only.” Enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com). If you love old R&B concert posters like this, be sure to visit more of them I’ve pictured on this page located right here on my web site: http://www.postercentral.com/rhythmnblues.htm

Poster Artist Dail W. Beeghly 1960s-70s Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan

Two charming black light “head shop” posters from right around 1970, created by poster artist Dail Beeghly. The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan are both well represented by Beeghly’s artistic renderings, set in a cool late-60s psychedelic backdrop. Beeghly also designed many stellar concert advertising posters in 1968 and onwards, which I show a few photos of. “I” being collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com).

Blues Project Concert Poster 1967 Matrix Club, San Francisco NR-6

A gorgeous pair of February 1967 vibrant psychedelic concert posters for the Blues Project at the Matrix club in San Francisco. Created by renowned poster artist Victor Moscoso, both the first and second editions are shown here, featuring wildly different colors… which one do you like best? Enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com). Grateful Dead Concert Poster – Notice! 1968 w/ Quicksilver

A well-known Grateful Dead concert poster from the band’s “tour of the great Pacific northwest” in the winter of 1968… the first time the band attempted to book all its own dates. The poster’s wild, wild west motif – complete with faux wrinkled and dirty paper – was a popular one that still has collectors attempting to get a complete set of all nine shows on the mini-tour. Enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com).
