The Temptations Concert Poster – Large Beautiful Day-Glo Classic

A beautiful Globe Poster boxing-style concert poster for The Temptations in Jacksonville, FL in 1970, the year they released a Top 10 album, a greatest-hits album, a live album and even a Christmas album! No less than three photos of the Temps adorn this very large cardboard, Day-Glo concert poster. Enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com). Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett Concert Window Cards – Early 1960’s

Two beautiful, vintage concert posters from two of America’s biggest musical national treasures, Ella Fitzgerald and Tony Bennett. The Ella is a stunner from 1961, right in the middle of her Songbook series; and the Bennett comes from the year he released “I Left My Heart in San Francisco,” 1962. Two lovely boxing-style concert posters enthusiastically presented by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com). Trips Festival Handbill 1966 Grateful Dead, Merry Pranksters

A January 1966 handbill for the seminal Trips Festival in San Francisco, designed (and later autographed) by Wes Wilson, the man who also designed 45 of the first 50 posters in Bill Graham’s numbered poster series (and the first 10 Family Dog posters as well). This event marked the beginning of the psychedelic Sixties in many ways, and included performances by The Grateful Dead, Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters, Allen Ginsberg and a host of other Bay Area hipsters. Enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com).

Cream Concert Poster 1960s Psych Design w/Eric Clapton

A highly attractive psychedelic concert poster for Cream’s 1968 show in Santa Barbara, CA. This Fillmore-era window card, with a rendition of Eric Clapton on guitar, has lots of intriguing, subtle elements that are not apparent on first glance. (Sorry about the one jerky edit, I’m still learning.) Enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com). And don’t miss another 1968 Cream gem (from Portland, OR) shown on the “Rock” page of my web site: http://www.postercentral.com/rock.htm
