Grateful Dead Concert Poster 1960s Bill Graham Charity Show for SNCC

A Bill Graham / Grateful Dead concert poster from 1966 that stands outside of Graham’s typical number series of posters for shows at the Fillmore. Known as the “snick” benefit, this eight-hour show featured the Dead plus The James Cotton Chicago Blues Band, Quicksilver Messenger Service, future Black Panther Stokely Carmichael and assorted speakers and MCs. SNCC stood for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee.
