Bruce Springsteen was in about 5 bands before he settled on just using his own name in the early ’70s, and two of them are represented here in the form of original concert posters advertising shows by Child (summer 1969) and Steel Mill (fall 1969) in Richmond, VA. Hard to believe that’s The Boss on both of these posters, but it is, wild hair and all. Also shown is a Steel Mill promo poster from the same year, as the band tried to inform the public of its name change.
