Trip or Freak Concert Poster 1967 by Mouse, Griffin & Kelley

The famous Halloween 1967 San Francisco psychedelic concert poster designed by Alton Kelley, Stanley Mouse and Rick Griffin. “Trip or Freak” — a take-off on “trick or treat,” of course — was a Halloween Ball featuring the Grateful Dead, Big Brother & The Holding Company (featuring Janis Joplin) and the Quicksilver Messenger Service. This poster is rich in hidden, magical detail, and is enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com). B.B. King Window Card ’60s The Blues Boy In Person

The King of the Blues, B.B. King himself, is well represented on this vintage 1964 boxing-style concert poster from Kilgore, Texas. Tickets were only $1.75 for this club date. B.B. was in tip-top form, and this poster has great orange graphics that really makes it pop. Enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com), with his daughter actually making a cameo (posted on Father’s Day 2011)! Jimi Hendrix Concert Poster 1969 John Mayall, Albert King

Rick Griffin’s poster masterwork for the Jimi Hendrix Experience live at the Fillmore Auditorium and Winterland in San Francisco, CA in early 1969. Known as “BG-105” and “the flying eyeball” to poster collectors, this iconic image is one of the most collectible of all the Bill Graham concert posters. Also shown is a signed B&W strike from the poster’s second printing. Enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com). Bob Dylan Handbill 1962 Gerdes Folk City by Suze Rotolo

A Spring 1962 concert handbill for Bob Dylan’s headlining stand at Gerde’s Folk City in NYC. This flyer was designed by Dylan’s girlfriend, Suze Rotolo, famous for later gracing the cover of his Freewheelin’ album. Not only did she sign the back, but it came from her personal collection. Enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com). Bob Dylan Flyer 1961 Gerdes Folk City w/Greenbriar Boys

A Fall 1961 concert handbill for Bob Dylan’s stand at Gerde’s Folk City in NYC. The New York Times glowingly reviewed one of these shows, after which Dylan’s career would never look back. ERRATA: I keep saying “September,” but of course it’s Sept.-Oct.; I said “14 nights” but it was only 12 because Gerde’s was dark on Mondays; and sorry about the Pt. 1/Pt. 2 etc. confusion, I didn’t know my first video would have to be divided in two. Anyway, this is all discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email pete@postercentral.com).
